MADE FROM EARTH, 2014

Mixed education project, Sunseed, Spain

From April to October 2014, I lived at Sunseed Desert Technology – a community-led educational centre for the transition towards sustainability in Andalusia, Spain. In the beautiful off-grid village of Los Molinos del Río Aguas, a group of international residents learn together to develop, demonstrate, research and communicate accessible ways to reduce our environmental impact.

During this time, I undertook practice-led research with two main strands, the first being making models and sculptures from natural and renewable materials including clay, pita wood and caña. And the second being the creation of engaging educational games about sustainable living to take to festivals and events.
