COSMOLOGICAL STARFISH (2021)

Cosmological Starfish is a sound piece that pays homage to Not I (1973) by Samuel Becket by tapping into subconsciouses with whispering streams of sound, played out in a ritualised loop. The work is a journey, a dialogue between a starfish, a human and a beach, expanding simultaneously in and out of time and space.

 

Image above - installation proposal for 5 speakers. When heard across 5 speakers, the sounds chase each other, coming together in moments of clarity and then dispersing.

 

The creation of this work has been supported by a residency at The Burnished at Bamff Eco-Tourism in Perthshire.
