SIMONE KENYON
Project: Into the Mountain - womxn mountaineering, dance & choral performance project that I experienced in May 2019. Using Nan Shepherd's amazing book The Living Mountain as a tool and approach... "I have walked out of my body and into the mountain". Dancers spent months collaborating with the mountain to make the work, Simone worked with the national park, recruited local people for the choir.

LAURA GRACE (OLDFIELD) FORD
Project - Savage Messiah
Resurfacing, writing, collecting, unpolished history of London changing. Reminds me of my in London post-undergrad in 2008 when I lived near the Olympic site. Throws up questions of legacies of politics (section 28, Thatcherism etc), subcultures, who decides what is valued? Neoliberalism in action. This work values DIY, mix-media aesthetic, using the style to be political, captures the people and communities moved at will be developers/councils.

KATE MCMILLAN
Project -Islands of Incarceration
Brings history from the 1800s to the present - this installation is a printed sheet of fabric with the rumbling of the forest printed on the sheet. It was made after researching Cockatoo Island off the coast of Australia which the history of which is hidden. The forest on the sheet is where the Wonnerup Massacre happened here 300-1000 people were massacred.
