SINGING TO THE SEAWEED
2021

A collection of responses to a collaged score (pictured) created for and with a drowning beach. Invited artists have made these sound works as intuitive reactions, reimagining an eerie and unpredictable landscape. The score, created by Joanne Matthews is a visualisation of the original sound work (track 3) which was created after a deep listening session in sea haar and site-responsive singing on a harbour wall.

Released May 19, 2021. Featuring sound works by Nicholas Escobar, Anne Pearce and Ezra Berrnico, Joanne Matthews and Joe Coghill
